Butte Education Foundation bringing back popular fundraiser after 2-year hiatus.
After a two-year hiatus, the Butte Eduacation Foundation's incredibly popular "Name That Tune" fundraiser contest is back February 25 at the Butte Country Club. And there is plenty of time to get involved whether you want to put together a three-person team, whether you are part of a business or organization that would like to sponsor the event, or even if you just want to enjoy the evening as an audience member.
The entry fee is $300 per three-person team and the field is limited to 30 teams. There will be three rounds where ten teams will compete against each other in each round. The three winners will compete in the championship round for a prize of $500. However, teams will be allowed to be "bought back in" if they answer a song or artist incorrectly. If you don't want to be a part of a team, a cheering audience is needed too. Event tickets are $40 and include heavy appetizers. Bottomless beer glasses will be available for $20. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Butte Education Foundation and "a lifetime of support for students of Butte School District #1." Prizes will also be awarded to the team with the best costume.
Business sponsorships are available as well. For $1000, a business can sponsor a table for 8 which will include their logo included on all advertising as well as 8 bottomless beer glasses. A $500 sponsorship will get a table for four as well as mentions in all advertising and 4 beer glasses. A spot in the event program is available for $150. Complete details on the event are available at butteeducationfoundation.org.
