Messina, who is still a staple on Country Music radio stations today, rose to stardom alongside the likes of Shania Twain, Faith Hill and Martina McBride in the late 1990s behind such chart-toppers as "Heads Carolina, Tails California", "Stand Beside Me" and "You're Not In Kansas Any More" and rode that wave of success into the early 2000s behind singles such as "Burn" and a duet with Tim McGraw, "Bring On The Rain" which also rose to the top of the Country charts.  In the time since, Messina has changed record labels and her entire touring band as she told KAAR-FM's Tom O'Neill in a July interview.  Messina said she has spent time off during the pandemic "getting to know Jesus" as well as homeschooling her son.  Her current tour will take her to all parts of the continental United States but she says she is particularly looking forward to her Montana dates because of its natural beauty and because she wants to take her son fishing.

Messina's performance at the Butte Vigilante Rodeo Grounds will wrap up a full week of fair festivities including popular displays by members of Butte's 4-H group.
