The Frontier Conference announced its All-Academic teams for Men's and Women's Basketball earlier today and the Montana Tech Orediggers are very well-represented on both teams.

On the women's team, Coach Jeff Graham will see an incredible 10 players on the Academic All-Conference team.  They are Ally Cleverly, a junior from Butte majoring in Biological Sciences; McKayla Kloker, a junior Nursing major from Helena; Macy Mayer, a sophomore from Bozeman majoring in Nursing; Lizzy Perry from Oaksdale, Washington, a junior Exercise and Health Science major; Kalispell's Aubrie Rademacher, a sophomore Biology major; Soda Rice from Savage who is a junior Nursing major; Tavia Rooney from Townsend, a senior also majoring in nursing; Dani Urick from Belt, a senior majoring in Applied Health & Safety Science; Kia Wasson from Whitewater, a sophomore majoring in Biology and Challis Westwater, a sophomore Biology major from Missoula.

On the men's side, Coach Adam Hiatt's Orediggers are fielding 7.  They are Jonathon Baer from Colstrip, a junior majoring in Electrical Engineering; Chrishon Dixon out of Billings, a junior Business and Information Technology major; Sam Gray, also out of Billings, a senior majoring in Applied Health & Safety Sciences; Sayer Patton from Choteau, a sophomore majoring in Business & Information Technology; Ifeanyi Okeke out of Rancho Cucamonga, California, a junior majoring in Business & Information Technology major; Michael Ure out of Idaho Falls, a sophomore Biology major and Levi Torgerson out of Great Falls, a sophomore majoring in Exercise Science.

To be eligible for the Academic All-Conference Teams, students must be at least a sophomore with a 3.25 GPA.

Congratulations to these athlete and coaches and also a big shout-out to the Athletics Department under Matt Stepan.  This type of recognition speaks volumes about the kinds of student athletes they recruit and once again bring such positive recognition to the Mining City and their vibrant campus.  Roll Diggs!
