It's a good time to be an Oredigger. Both the men's basketball team and football team are ranked in the national top ten and both have a big weekend on tap with the hoops squad hosting a mini-tournament and the football program wrapping up their regular-season with a huge game.

If you are looking for a chance to see the Orediggers in action, there is no time like the present. The Montana Tech men's and women's basketball teams will both have their home-openers tonight and tomorrow at Kelvin Sampson Court and expectations are high for both squads.

Following a third-consecutive blowout victory, Montana Tech's football team broke into the top 10 of the latest NAIA top 25 ratings. The Orediggers checked in 10th in the latest poll, announced Monday by the NAIA's national office. It's Montana Tech's highest spot in the ratings since the Diggers were No. 10 in the September 23 iteration of the poll.

Montana Tech is facing criticism for the wide margin of victory that looks like something you'd find on a video game. People are saying that the Orediggers ran up the score. While the final result would certainly indicate that, it is just not the case. Montana Tech Head Coach Kyle Samson pulled the first string after the first quarter with the game firmly in hand. Samson went as deep into his roster as any head coach has ever gone using the sixth string by the time the dust was settling. Kids who don't get a lot, if any, time on the playing field were getting big minutes. Even though the game was out of hand, these players are still fighting for position on the depth charts and you will not find a coach in America who will tell his players to give anything less than their all.

The Frontier Conference announces its 2024 Preseason Football Coaches Poll, which named the 2023 NAIA Semi-Finalist College of Idaho the favorite entering the 2024 season.

Montana Tech Basketball is gearing up for an unprecedented defense of their Frontier Conference regular season and tournament championships. They are the only back-to-back-to-back holders of both in conference history and the road to a 4th has at least become a little clearer as the Frontier Conference portion of next season's schedule has been released. 15 Frontier Conference games are on the schedule with the Orediggers meeting the University of Providence Argos, the University of Montana-Western Bulldogs, the Carroll College Fightin' Saints and the MSU-Northern Lights three times each. The Diggers will have the odd game at home against the Argos, the Lights and the Bulldogs.

The Frontier Conference Council of Presidents unanimously voted to accept Bellevue University, Dakota State University, Mayville State University, and Valley City State University as full conference members beginning in the 2025-26 academic year. This will bring the Frontier Conference to 11 full-time members.

Montana Tech football season tickets and tailgate spots for the Orediggers' six home games will go on sale to the public, on Monday, June 3rd.

Following the completion of the 2024 Frontier Conference Track & Field Championship on Monday, the conference has announced the 2024 Frontier Men's and Women's Track & Field All-Conference Team.

The Frontier Conference Track and Field Championships will be held in Butte, Mont. on May 5th and 6th. This will be the first time the Championships will be contested in the Mining City.
