This looks like a fun and potentially huge event this March up on the Hill.  Montana Tech's Mining Team will be hosting the International Collegiate Mining Competition March 21st through the 23rd and really, what better place to host?  Of course, Montana Tech is a stone's throw away from the World Museum of Mining and the former works of the Orphan Girl Mine.  If mining is your field of study, you are going to have a heyday with what the museum has to offer, especially if you're a student visiting Butte for the first time.  Plus, there is going to be a lot to enjoy for the rest of us to enjoy as well.

The World Museum of Mining wants to make this a big event not just for Tech and its students but for everyone in town as well.  Have you been on the museum's Orphan Girl underground tours?  Well, they will be scheduled throughout the course of the event and admission into the museum itself will be on a "suggested donation" basis.  Indeed, if you haven't been up to the World Museum in a few years, this will be the perfect opportunity.

With lots of hungry mining students and an influx of visitors, this sounds like a great opportunity for a food truck, doesn't it?  And as we saw around town last summer at events and on the street, Butte and Southwest Montana have some of the best food trucks in the business.  Here are a few that we enjoyed at Matt Boyle's food truck festival last summer.
