
Here’s what’s happening at the Belmont Senior Center in Butte this August
August is here along with a busy month of events and activities at Butte's Belmont Senior Center at 615 E. Mercury. Let's take a look at what we have to look forward to this month.
WEEKLY HAPPENINGS
- Bingo is played on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 1pm. Cost is $1 per game, $1.50 extra for blackout.
- Pinochle is played Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1pm to 3:45pm. Cost is $1 plus 25 cents a set.
- Foot Clinic - Call for an appointment, (406) 782-8668. Cost is $15 paid to Peggy Dean.
- Sneakers Exercise Class - Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am to 11am. $1.50 per class.
- Rides to medical appointments and shopping are available, please call at least 24 hours in advance.
- Doctor appointments are Mondays and Wednesdays, $8 round trip, $5 one way (times depend on availablity).
- Shopping Fridays, $10 charge (times depend on availability).
- Fresh Cinnamon Rolls and Coffee - $1 on Tuesdays from 8am to 10:30am.
AUGUST ACTIVITIES
- Ice Cream Social - Thursday, August 7th from 1pm to 2pm.
- Movie Days are Tuesday, August 5th and Tuesday, August 19th at 10am.
- Craft Circle with Lorisa - Tuesday, August 12th and Tuesday, August 26th at 10:30am.
- AARP Driving Course - Thursday, August 14th at 10am.
- August Birthday Lunch - Thursday, August 14th at 12pm with live music and Birthday Bingo (activities only included with lunch purchase).
- Grief Support Group sponsored by Honeybee Hospice and Axelson's Cremation - Thursday, August 21st at 1pm.
- Puzzle Wars - Thursday, August 21st from 1pm to 2pm.
Sessions with the Tech Nurses as well as the Wood Carvers will return in the fall.
The Belmont will be closed on Friday, August 8th and Friday, August 29th.
Check out the World Museum of Mining in Butte, Montana
At Butte's World Museum of Mining you will find an incredibly detailed mining camp, an underground tour and actual relics from the town's incredible mining past.
