What does tourism mean to Butte? Well, just walk through the Uptown on any given Summer weekend and chances are pretty good that you're going to find some sort of festival or celebration going on and you'll definitely see a lot of out-of-state license plates. Head to a fishing access point or boat launch and chances are you'll be waiting your turn, as well. The winter brings a myriad of skiing and snowmobiling adventurers from across the globe to our neck of the woods and our area's natural splendor and inviting demeanor more often than not leads to repeat visitors. Tourism is a huge part of not only Butte's economy but of the entire state's as well, and it is with that in mind the Montana Chamber of Commerce is hosting their 2nd Annual Convergence Festival on May 21st and 22nd here in the Mining City.

Although many of Butte's signs from the past have long since come down, there are still an impressive number of neon signs in use and with LED technology progressing, there are some breathtaking new signs being designed. Here are a few of the signs around town that we think stand out.

The St, James Healthcare Foundation is excited to announce a fun event coming up this Thursday at the Finlen Hotel on East Broadway Street. "Sip N' Support" is a Fall Wine and Beer Tasting Event in uptown Butte from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Here it is! Just in time for Halloween, another selection of terrifying and ghoulishly fun events to check out this week in the surrounding area! These local ghastly parties & haunted tours have something for everyone...well, almost everyone! Be selective as events listed are not for children 12 years of age or younger! For the rest of us, time to buck up and prepare to get scared out of our wits. If you're more about costume contests and partying the night away, then so be it!
