Butte Central Catholic High School will hold a Commitment Ceremony for the Class of 2023. The ceremony will be held in the courtyard at the high school, Monday, May 22, at 12:00 PM. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be moved to the school cafeteria.

You can count on seeing team buses from all over the state all over town this Friday and Saturday as the 2023 LaVerne Combo Softball Invitational makes its annual return. Teams from Class A and Class B along with the AA Butte High Junior Varsity will see action starting at noon Friday and before things wrap up Saturday evening, 48 games will have taken place on 5 fields.
The Butte Central Maroons will be busy on the home diamonds this week as the baseball team will host an early pair and the softball team will host one of the state's biggest softball tournaments later in the week. The Tennis and Track & Field teams will also be in action.
The Butte Central softball team bounced back from a lopsided defeat at the hands of the Dillon Beavers Monday to get past the Corvallis Blue Devils 10-9 Tuesday afternoon at Stodden Park, The Maroons were far from flawless but showed perseverance after miscues and wound up getting their second win of the season.
The warm weather is a welcome sight, particularly to those in charge of scheduling Butte High and Butte Central activities. After delays, postponements and cancellations we are keeping our fingers crossed for the warm stretch to continue as the Bulldogs and Maroons look to get things rolling.
