After weeks of collecting donations from generous Southwest Montana families, businesses and individuals and a full week of sorting and folding, we are finally set for Saturday's distribution day with the annual Butte Cares/Harrington Pepsi Clothing Drive.  The location is the grounds of the former JC Penney/FCS endeavors at the Butte Plaza Mall and the outside southeast doors are scheduled for a 10am opening.

Winter gear of all kinds will be free for the taking, everything from hats, boots, mittens and gloves to winter coats, blankets and thermal wear for all members of the family.  Complimentary hot dogs and Pepsi products will be made available courtesy of Harrington Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of Butte and Mike Thatcher and the family of Community, Counseling and Correctional Services, Incorporated.  Again, all are welcome to enjoy their generosity.

The generosity of our listeners is again apparent this year as the collection boxes at all of our locations were filled and emptied numerous times and the selection for needy families at Distribution Day will be abundant.  A big thank you to the businesses that provided space for our collection boxes this year which include our Butte Walmart, Ace Hardware of Butte, Steele's Furniture Warehouse, the Butte Chamber of Commerce and Dee Motor Company of Anaconda.  Also a big thank you to the dozens of volunteers who have been hard at work sorting and folding clothes as well as those who will be on hand this Saturday from the early morning hours setting up until the event closes at 5pm.

Again, all who are in need are invited to join us this Saturday.

Did Anyone Watch These TV Shows in the 1980s and 1990s?

While you might think “watching while distracted” is a modern habit, even back in the day the TV was just… there, humming along while you did other things. These were the shows that weren’t exactly “must-see TV,” more like “might-see TV” — part of the culture, but you had to wonder: who was actually watching?
