Butte Depot break-in caught on video
Thieves and vandals suck no matter what, but when they hit a location that has done so much to restore a once run-down albeit historic building, you just have to scratch your head. I am talking about the Butte Depot which was broken into last night by another one of Butte's finest tweakers. Okay, I'm making assumptions, but still.
Before we get to the video of the dirtbag, let's look at some of the amazing work that the Fisher Family of Butte along with help from innumerable friends and family members have done to the place over the years.
And let's not forget their incredible 9/11 Memorial and salute to local firefighters.
The reception hall is no less impressive with retro train depot designs and accents.
The ticket booth looks into what appears to be a mine shaft thanks to the magic of the incredible Mike Hamblin.
Now that you've seen the labor of love that has been the restoration and transformation into an incredible bar, casino and reception hall, one that is almost always home to a local benefit, you can understand the anger I felt upon learning that this place was broken into.
Does anybody recognize this creep?
Please contact the Butte-Silver Bow Sheriff's Department if you have any information.
