Butte Cars & Coffee Club to hold “Trunk or Treat” event Sunday at CarQuest
If you think that being this close to Halloween your odds of finding a good car show would be a bit slim, you would be incorrect. The Butte Cars & Coffee auto club is not only putting another big one on but they want you and your kids to join them in your Halloween costumes for the inaugural "Trunk or Treat" car show and trick-or-treating event going on this Sunday night, October 30, from 6 to 8:30pm at CarQuest, 3639 Harrison Avenue. Actually, the costumes are optional as there will be no prizes or awards. But they WILL be judging the costume of your car and if you want to enter you will need to bring a bag of candy for trick-or-treaters. In keeping with the youthful spirit, Jim Miller who owns Let Us Run and is behind the successful yearly school supply drive "Stuff the Bus" will be selling raffle tickets to raise money for next year's event.
What is Cars & Coffee?
Butte, Montana Cars & Coffee is a local group of car and truck enthusiasts who came together in a Facebook group to "meet up, grab some coffee and talk all things cars." The group welcomes all who wish to join and since springing up at the beginning of Summer has grown to over 700 members and has already put on several successful car shows. More often than not their car shows double as a fundraiser, such as last September's show at the Butte Plaza Mall that raised money for the American Heart Association. For membership information visit their Facebook page or join them Sunday evening at Carquest.
