This Awesome Butte Event for Kids Scores Them Free Stuff
BUTTE, MT - Are you and your family the types that like to go out on an afternoon bike ride around town?

Us here in Butte, America are very privileged when it comes to biking accommodations. Whether you like to cruise around on a street bike, crush some trails on your mountain bike, or do a little bit of both with a gravel bike, the options out here are endless. The best part: there's so many trails and paths—and, heck, even roads—to go down that most of the time they're pretty empty.
Yes, I did throw "roads" up there. I know what many of you are thinking: who's doing any road biking here in Butte? Especially when you consider Uptown to be a hilly, pot-hole-ridden, rocky area that would deter even the most adamant of road bicyclists (not me, though). Even then, there are a few areas in the Flats and outside the town that will provide you with scenic views and flat roads.
But all of that bike riding requires a sense of awareness, a strong understanding of how bike etiquette works, and just basic bike safety. That goes double for children who just started biking either around the block or with their parents. What if there was some event centered around bike safety, preparation, and will even provide a bike inspection for your kiddo's bike?
Enter the 25th Annual Silver Bow Kiwanis Bike Rodeo, happening this Saturday, June 1st, 2024, at 10am and goes until 12:30pm at the Butte Civic Center. Besides teaching bike safety and basics, the event will provide free helmets for all children (awesome), free pizza and soda (more awesome), and free bike inspections.
All ages are welcome. Event details available at this link here.
