"Kick off the week on Mondays at 4pm with Manga and Anime enthusiasts. Immerse yourself in the Japanese art and storytelling as we watch episodes of popular anime series and explore our Manga collection. Connect with fellow enthusiasts and bond over your shared love for this unique art form."

Tuesday Night Open Mic with Guest Host John MF Colton

The Covellite Theatre (215 W Broadway, Butte, MT 59701); 7:00 PM

Event Description: 

"Calling all performing artists, groups, and supergroups- musicians, poets, comedians, dancers, mimes!

By vociferous popular demand, Tuesday Night Open Mic at the Covellite carries on into the Spring and Summer with a series of Guest EmCees.

Your Guest Host for Tuesday August 13th is sci-fi writer and comic John "Gentle" Colton!

You can sign up in advance to perform by leaving a note in our FB group (below) or by emailing OpenMic@CovellitePresents.org. There will also be some slots available at the door, so come on time to sign up! Doors open at 7pm."

Mining City Astronomy

"Every month, on the third Thursday at 5:30 pm, we invite you to explore the wonders of the night sky alongside the knowledgeable astronomers from Cottontail Observatory. This captivating group is perfect for the whole family, as they guide us on an enthralling study of the stars. Be prepared to be dazzled by the vastness of the universe and the beauty of the night sky. Delve into the mysteries of the universe, learn about constellations, planets, and galaxies, and ignite your curiosity about the cosmos.

Please note that, on occasion, the club ventures out into the field for nighttime observations. To ensure you don't miss any amazing stargazing opportunities, be sure to give the library a call and confirm the meeting location for that month or call Cottontail Observatory at 406-842-7722."
