Living here in Butte, people think that their only options are to go to a restaurant, a bar, or a casino. I've made it my personal mission to dissuade those who feel this way and to inform the greater region beyond Butte that we in fact do have a ton of cool stuff going on every weekend.

Plus, this weekend is the Montana Folk Festival, and I know most of you are going to that to rock out and have some fun. But there's plenty more to do in between...

Friday Night Features

What: "Join us on the rooftop every Friday this summer for features like local spirits, craft beer, and exclusive wines. We will have free samples and drinks for sale. Specials rotate weekly." Find all information here.

Headframe Spirits Sampling

What: "Stop by for a Headframe Spirits sampling. Recently named the 2024 Montana American Single Malt Distillery of the Year, Headframe Spirits is Butte's first legal distillery.

What: "Join Us for a Night of Laughter with James Camacho!

Get ready to laugh with NYC-based comedian James Camacho! Born to a Chinese mom and Puerto Rican dad, James's unique background and boyish charm make him one of the funniest and most polished young comedians today.

James has been featured on Kevin Hart's LOL Network, CBS's "FBI" and "Kevin Can Wait," and in commercials for Dunkin' Donuts, ESPN, and Vice. He recently filmed a role in the upcoming movie "Before I Go" with Willie Garson and Annabelle Sciorra, and starred in "What Happened Last Night" with Amber Rose. What: "Open AIR presents our first Butte Arts Conference, a day-long event celebrating art and the environment at the Historic Clark Chateau. This Conference will feature Open AIR Arists-in-Residence from sites in Butte, Philipsburg, and Deer Lodge. The artists will lead sessions with presentations, hands-on activities, demonstrations, and art-making that engage audiences in conversations about place, art, and the environment.

This event is part of the Summer II Open AIR Artist-in-Residence program, which is in partnership with The Historic Clarck Chateau, Imagine Butte Resource Center, Clark Fork Coalition, and the Philipsburg Arts Fund." Find all information here.

Sunflower Arts Workshop

What: "It’s the season to make your own flower bloom! Join us to create your beautiful 3D Sunflower in the colors of your choice. Add crystal chips for a 3D effect! This is an open start time so come when you want between 11-3. To be finished by 5:00. Bring a drink and have some fun! You will use acrylic paint pens on an 11x14 wood canvas. All supplies included.
