Live music is a big part of the background of Montana. From popular music festivals, Hall of Fame artists, to new artists, there's something for everyone.

Here are a few major concerts happening in Montana in 2024.

Bozeman-based, reggae infused soul band, Cole & The Thornes will celebrate the release of their new full length album with a special show at The ELM on Friday, November 10, 2023! They’ll be joined by Bozeman’s 8-piece ska outfit Hornbread.

It seems like just yesterday we were welcoming back the food vendors, the foam machine, the big stage with Andy Larson and, of course, the big crowds that have been commonplace at Music on Main events every Thursday throughout the summer. And here we are at the final event. But what an event it is going to be. As in years past, Missoula's hot country band ShoDown will be the musical guest and these guys are the closers for a reason. They are one of the top bands in the Northwest and have become a favorite of many here in Butte.

One of the most eclectic country-rock bands of our time has set a date in the Garden City. The Mavericks, probably best known for 90s hits such as "What A Crying Shame", "All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down" and "Dance the Night Away" have set October 17 for the date of their show at Missoula's historic Wilma Theater.

If the turnout the past several weeks is any indicator, this Thursday night's "Music on Main" event is going to be a big one. Coupled with a favorable forecast and one of Butte's most popular bands and you've got something. Add one of Montana's premiere guitar players to the mix and it adds up to an evening of great music, food and fun that you will want to come early for.

After last night's incredible 3 Doors Down/Candlebox show last night at turned the Great Falls Voyagers home into a temporary rock house, the folks from the Newberry certainly proved that they know how to throw a party. What the rest of the state is finding out though, is that there are several more big parties coming their way in the near and not-too-distant future and that the Newberry is a great place to catch a show, particularly if you're a fan of Country Music. Here are a few of their big ones that you need to know about.
