Now, even though WALL CALENDARS are on the "taking the easy way out" list above, there are ways to put these "date trackers" in a category all their own. Wall calendars can become a separate entity once some thought is put into determining the type or style of calendar you plan to give. I mean, for the most part, we know on the surface what our friends and family members like, right? For instance, a puppy calendar might not be the right choice if your cousin loves muscle cars. The same goes for that particular aunt on your list who loves gardening. Likewise, you might want to steer clear of getting her a calendar with snakes on it unless she's a fan of amphibians and has a green thumb at the same time. Basically, go with what you know about your gift recipient's tastes and hobbies. After all, people enjoy when their gifts are catered to their personality. Plus, wall calendars are nice, flat, and easy to add to a box of gifts you already plan to mail. You can even order wall calendars from online sites and have them shipped directly by the seller to friends and family.

This Saturday (December 3rd), and for the first time since 2019, the Women's Club in Anaconda will have just that; a Christmas Store designed specifically for children "only" to shop for their loved ones. It's an exciting experience for the kiddos. Volunteers will be on-site to help these young shoppers pick out up to 8 items priced at ONLY $1 each. Community members over the past month brought in donations and gifts, so the selection is expected to be great! Volunteers will also be there to wrap all chosen gifts. Here's where to bring your youngster for a shopping experience like no other this Saturday: Ancient Order of Hibernians Hall at 106 Cherry in Anaconda. The Christmas Store will be open from 9 a.m. until noon. Proceeds will go towards AJHS Women's Club Scholarships. Let the shopping begin!

Once you've completed your Black Friday journey, take time the following day to enjoy a day of shopping in an entirely different way. Beginning at 9 a.m. on Saturday, November 26th, Anaconda's First Annual Vintage Christmas Market will take place in the former JC Penney's building at 113 East Park Street in downtown Anaconda. The event, hosted by Blacksmith Coffee Co., will feature creative and unique gift ideas, including vintage home and holiday decor, outerwear, furniture, and more. It's a great feeling when you can find one-of-a-kind gifts for the holiday. Plus, a trip to Anaconda's First Annual Vintage Christmas Market the day AFTER Black Friday is a nice break from the norm.
