Thompson Family Food Drive "Means it" this Saturday
The Thompson Family City Wide Food Drive is when you leave non-perishable food items near your mailbox for volunteers to pick up between 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is preferred that items be set in a grocery bag and made available by 10 a.m. this Saturday. Other items in need include paper towels, toilet paper, deodorant and shampoo. If you would rather bring your items to a drop off location, you may do so at the Butte Emergency Food Bank (1019 East Second), and select spots at Safeway on Front Street, Three Bears Alaska, and the Racetrack Fire Hall off of Farragut. Cash donations are also very much appreciated and can be made by visiting HERE. The food drive this Saturday is in memory of Jim and Margie Thompson, who operated Thompson Distributing in Butte with their family and staff for years, and where the Drive was first established. Here's to all of us "meaning it" by coming together to do our part!

Thanksgiving Dinner in Anaconda; Bringing Unity to the Community
Organizations such as the Anaconda Community Foundation have made it possible for everyone to enjoy the season of giving the way it was intended. On Thanksgiving Day, November 24th, 2022, a nondenominational Anaconda Community Thanksgiving dinner and gathering will take place at Holy Family's Hunthausen Center (217 W. Pennsylvania in Anaconda). ACF members and volunteers will serve a traditional feast of turkey, ham, and more from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. For those who are homebound or cannot travel, delivery will be made available at 11 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. To request meal delivery, call RInki at (406) 563-5582 or Sandi at (406) 559-0919.
