Dillon

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) and its partner, L&J Construction Group LLC, have substantially completed improvements on North Interchange Road in Dillon. The half-mile segment received new pavement, seal and cover (chip seal), bridge repairs, new guardrail, and new signage. Permanent epoxy pavement markings are expected to be completed in late August.

If this is not the biggest summer kickoff party in Montana, it will definitely be the loudest. The Beaverhead County Fairgrounds will be the place as the Dillon Jaycees host the 51st Annual Demo Derby and summer kickoff concert with Saliva on Saturday, June 8th with fun stuff happening throughout the day.

On Thursday both the Butte Central boys and girls will celebrate Senior Parent Night with a varsity doubleheader against the Dillon Beavers with the boys game at 6pm and the girls at 7:30.

The Dillon Jaycees certainly know how to kick off the summertime in Southwest Montana and they've got some fun stuff happening on June 10. The Beaverhead County Fairgrounds will be jumping all day and into the night with the 50th Anniversary Demolition Derby with a concert again to follow. This year the featured act is rock band Hinder.

The Butte Central Boys Basketball team has wrapped up the regular season and are preparing for the upcoming Western A Divisional Tournament which will be played in Ronan.

Butte Central got past Dillon 55-38 for their 9th straight victory.
