The Montana Tech Orediggers have landed at No. 16 in the Top 25 Preseason poll released by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
The Preseason Coaches Poll for Frontier Conference Football has been released. This will be the first year with new football member Arizona Christian joining the Montana based conference.
The Montana Tech golf teams wrapped up a solid season with second place finishes on both the men’s and women’s sides after the final round at Reflection Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nevada Wednesday.

Montana Tech football will wrap up their spring drill tonight at Alumni, as they prepare for the 2023 Frontier Conference Football season. The Orediggers will open the ’23 campaign against the Saints of Carroll College on September 2nd.
Somehow, we only have one game left in the Frontier Conference regular season, and equally surprising the final game will not affect conference standings no matter what happens.
In a game that would see a lead of no larger than eight points throughout 40 minutes of regulation, it was missed free-throw opportunities by Montana Tech that would force an overtime period against Carroll College. And it was a shooting clinic from the foul line and beyond that the Orediggers would put on in overtime to seal an 87-78 Frontier Conference victory and the regular season conference title.
