
Massive Meat Recall Now Affects Grocery Stores Across MT
BUTTE, MT - Montanans love to keep their favorite cuts of meat stocked in the fridge or freezer—whether it’s for a hearty dinner after a long day or to throw on the grill when the weather’s right.

But a recent nationwide recall has now reached Montana, and residents are being urged to check their refrigerators and freezers immediately.
According to the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), more than 22,000 pounds of sausage have been recalled after consumers reported finding pieces of hard plastic in the product.
The affected sausage was shipped to stores in 10 states—including right here in Montana.

The recall involves Johnsonville BRATS CHEDDAR Bratwurst, made by Johnsonville, LLC in Momence, Illinois.

19-oz. sealed firm tray packages
Contains five “Johnsonville BRATS CHEDDAR Bratwurst”
Package code: B9FOD
So far, there have been no confirmed injuries reported, but the FSIS advises anyone who may have consumed the product and feels unwell to consult a health care provider.
What to Do:
If you find this product in your fridge or freezer, do not eat it. Instead, dispose of it safely or return it to the store where you purchased it for a refund.
