The week is off to a snowy, slippery starts across western Montana with up to 6 more inches falling during the day on Monday. Snow covered roads and foggy conditions affected the Monday morning commute, and temperatures are expected to drop significantly overnight.

Western Montana has several advisories is effect for most of Monday. With daytime temperatures not getting warm, less melting of the roads may be an issue.

Overnight temps are going to drop drastically, so any melting that occurs Monday could freeze after dark.

  • Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.

Eastern Montana has it's own set of Winter Weather Alert issues. HOWEVER: Eastern Montana weather issues aren't supposed to last very long. Driving conditions won't be great at times due to blowing and drifting snow.
