Ahhh, summer vacation. A time where families get together, hit the road, and see America.

Growing up, my parents were cheap, so any family vacation that we ever took had to be to visit one of my Mom's sisters, who really never lived anywhere worth visiting. We would all climb in the car and head out to start what would no doubt end up being an extremely boring vacation for my Brother and me.

Nowadays, staycations are becoming more popular. Especially here in Montana. There's plenty to do and see here in Big Sky Country, so if you're looking to get out and have a little R and R, you can do so and never leave the state.

According to one source, there are a couple of towns here in Montana that rank extremely high for the best places to have a great staycation.

Now, keep in mind that part of the factors that go into this are population, and since both Billings and Missoula are the state's two largest cities, it would make sense that they're on the list. However, as far as staycations go, several other Montana towns are wonderful options.
