Montana State University Lands Major Federal Patent Office Hub

Montana State University is known for a lot of big wins. From a National Championship football team to earning a spot among the top 5% of universities worldwide, MSU continues to raise the bar. Now, the university can add another major milestone to that list. This one benefits not just Bozeman but innovators across the west.

Recently, the U.S. Department of Commerce announced that Montana State University will become home to a new Community Engagement Office for the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. This makes MSU one of the largest hubs west of the Mississippi. Our new office will be just as big as  Dallas’s and San Francisco's offices. Wow.

The Bozeman office will be a place for inventors and entrepreneurs across eight states, stretching from Montana to Colorado and all the way to the Dakotas.
