Oh, speaking of Montana, did you know that when it comes to patriotism, we are one of the most patriotic states in the country?
Our friends over at WalletHub put together a list using certain criteria to figure where all 50 states rank according to their patriotism and Montana made the Top 10. Before we tell you where we rank, let's look at what makes Montana so patriotic.
According to the study, the following was used to determine the rankings:
- Military Engagement
- Civil Engagement
Each category carries a certain number of points, and when you add the points up, that determines the rankings. Montana's total score was 67.9, so where does that rank us among the 49 other states?
How patriotic is Montana?
Montana is ranked the 2nd most patriotic state in the United States. In fact, the only state more patriotic than the Treasure State is Virginia with a score of just over 70. However, it should be noted that while we rank 2nd, we are also one of the least populated states in the country, so Montanans have a lot to be proud of.
