Not only did Bozeman and Missoula make the Top 15, they both made the Top 10. Bozeman ranked 6th and was barely edged out by Missoula which came in 5th. So which four towns beat the two? According to the data based on things like age of residents, home prices, education, and income the Top 4 are as follows:

  2. Ithaca, New York
  3. Grand Forks, North Dakota
  4. Lawrence, Kansas

Having lived in both Bozeman and Missoula, both cities are fantastic and offer a whole lot for their residents, plus, all you have to do is drive a few short miles, and you're back in Montana again.
