As a kid of the '80s and early '90s, one of my favorite things to do was go to the Mall.

I always looked forward to the music stores, the arcade, and places like Foot Locker and Spencer's Gifts. Of course, the best part of all of that was hanging out with my friends.

We would always have a summer job and then right before school, take the money we had earned and go shopping for clothes, shoes, and whatever other cool items we thought we had to have.

Over the last several years, malls aren't nearly as popular as they once were, which for those of us of a certain age, is kind of a bummer. When you're a kid, there are only so many places you can go and feel like you "belong" and for many in my generation, the mall was one of those places.

Here in Montana we still have a few malls around the state and while they might not be as crowded as they once were, they continue to be an important part of their communities for shopping and hanging out.

While there are still a handful of Malls across Montana, some of our favorite stores are no longer part of them.
