Off In The Woods Brings Their Energy To Covellite Theater
Off in the Woods, one of Montana's most eclectic touring bands, will be playing Butte's Covellite Theater this Friday night filling the air with their unique blend of reggae, funk and acoustic open-tuned music that even has accents of soul. If you haven't caught them during one of their previous visits to the Mining City, don't miss this opportunity.
In addition to their incredible music, Off in the Woods has perhaps one of the most unique and heartwarming stories of any band in Montana. Maybe even the whole world. The band's five original members grew up together on the Salish Kootenai Reservation in Northwest Montana and have been playing together since the 6th grade. They are in their twenties now and prove that there are some kinds of groove that you can only get from time. And this band grooves. Off in the Woods' horns, drums, bass, guitar, Hammond organ and aux percussion fills the room and keeps crowds moving. They are seven members strong now and have shared the bill with such major artists like George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, The Wailers, Clinton Fearon and the Boogie Brown Band, Don Carlos, Rusted Root, The English Beat, John Brown's Body, The Polyrythmics and Pato Banton.
Be part of the crowd at the Covellite Theater this Saturday night. The doors open at 7pm and showtime is set for 8pm. Suggested donation is $10 and tickets are available here.
Ticket holders 21 years of age or older, bring your ticket confirmation email and your ID to Lone Peak Cannabis in Butte to enter an accessory prize package. You must purchase your ticket in advance by January 15 to enter. Winner will be drawn at the show and you must be present to win.
