May is Older Americans Month, a wonderful time to show our appreciation for the older adults in Butte and Southwest Montana.

Since 1963, communities across the nation have joined in the annual commemoration of Older Americans Month, a proud tradition that shows our entire country's commitment to celebrating the contributions and achievements of older Americans.  Butte is again taking part in this celebration with a Free Fun Fair in honor our our community's elder citizens and it's something that folks of all ages will be able to enjoy.  Festivities will commence at Star Lanes, 4602 Harrison Avenue on Friday, May 1st.

Several organizations and community members will have a variety of activities on hand to make you think, make you smile and even make you sweat if you want.  Vendor booths will open at 10am and will be set up throughout the day offering information and services as well as a variety of activities, snacks, refreshments, drawings and fun.   This year's theme is "You're Never Too Old To Play" Here is a look at the day's schedule.

  • 11:00 - 11:30 - Fine Line Dancers
  • 11:30 - 12:00 - Prizes Giveaway

  • 12:50 - 1:20 - Music by Kevin Clarke
  • 1:20 - 1:50 - The Copper City Divas and Dudes
  • 1:50 - 2:00 - 50/50 Winner and Grand Prize Giveaway
