Christmas Vacation, Ska-lidays 2025 and Movie Premiere highlight busy week at the Covellite

Butte's Covellite Theater at 215 W. Broadway is ready to get you into the holiday spirit with a full week of fun activities starting Tuesday evening.  Here's a look at this week's fun events.

TUESDAY - OPEN MIC NIGHT

Join emcee Kane O'Neill for a fun night of local talent with everything from musicians to comedians.  The show starts at 8pm and if you want a spot on the stage, come early to sign up for a spot.

WEDNESDAY - FREE MOVIE NIGHT

Around here it's not officially the holiday season until you watch National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and the Covellite will host a free showing on Butte's last standing movie screen.  Come early for free popcorn and bring a few bucks to help out with expenses.  Showtime is set for 7pm.

FRIDAY NIGHT - HAPPY SKA-LIDAYS 2025

Stop by after the Christmas Stroll for a full night of upbeat ska, dancing and winter cheer.  The lineup includes Big Ska Country from Helena and Missoula's Big Mosquito with music starting at 8pm.  Come early for free hot chocolate that will start flowing at 5pm and everybody is encouraged to show up in their best Ugly Christmas Sweater.  A ten dollar donation per person is suggested and much appreciated.  Tickets are available here.

SATURDAY - FUNDRAISER SKI MOVIE PREMIER

Saturday the Covellite will host a very special screening of Matchstick Productions' After The Snowfall which will take viewers "through deep snow, big risks and the pure joy of skiing" and will highlight both world class as well as everyday skiers.  Bring your appetite because food trucks will be on site.  Proceeds will go directly to the Butte Central Foundation. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids 12 and under and are available here.  Doors open at 6pm and the film starts at 7pm.  The event is co-hosted by Butte Central and the Butte Central Foundation.
